3 hours
4 bags of assorted trash, dirt and dead plants
about a dozen buckets of water

...but now our balcony is clean and ready for a summer's worth of relaxation and fun again, thanks to myself and Draco. All right, Fireez had the initial idea, but she and Ash suddenly decided to do the ladylike thing and hang back when it got down to doing the dirty, exhausting work. Girls :P.

Now all I've got to do is decide on what I want to plant in our mini-garden this year. Strawberries is a must, but everything else is open to debate.

Why not plant some herbs and stuff to help with the body's health? Itd be a good topic to learn something about first.....planting and taking random herbs can be kind of dangerous!

That's a very good idea! Fireez already knows a thing or two about herbs, and we have a book lying around on them somewhere, so it'll be a fun project. Best would be if I can find stuff that also looks nice...

Cherry tomatoes? We had some last year that survived the first frost to produce a second crop, tasted almost candied-good, and were bright orange. Can't remember the variety name, unfortunately.

Congratulations on getting everything cleared out and ready to go!

Ooo... yeah. Tomatoes grow very well in pots. My mom grows them that way.

Really? They do? We'll have to try that some time, then!

In a pot, yes, maybe. But I think I'll refrain from putting them in the mini-garden. Last time we put a tomato plant in there, it grew and grew and grew until it was overshadowing all the other plants O_O. We were all really relieved when a storm tore it apart, teheh (well, everyone except F's bf, who had planted the monster).

Monster tomatoes of doom!! XD I know what you mean about that... they sort of took over where we'd planted them, too. In a pot might work well, though I can't say I've ever done that. (I'm away from home for too long to have a plant of my own to take care of, and the kitchen gardens are Jerry's domain entirely....)
